シェアハウスの入居希望者から「神戸大への通学はどうなりますか？」とよく聞かれるので、通学ルートをまとめておきます。
ヘッドクォーターズ（HQ）神戸は、神戸大学と三宮のちょうど中間ほどに立地しています。大学に行くにも三宮に遊びにいくにも、駅（JR摩耶駅 or 阪急王子公園駅）やバス停が近くて便利ですし、水道筋商店街自体が暮らすうえで最高に便利です。そのため神戸大学関係者からはけっこう人気がありますね😊。現在およびこれまでに、何人もの神戸大関係者が住んでくれています。

学生のおすすめは③のバス乗り継ぎ
住んでいる学生に聞いたら、おすすめは③だそうです。
神戸市バスの乗り換えはICカードで乗れば2区間目が無料なので、210円で大学まで行けます。電車＋バスだと阪急で370円、JRで340円なので、往復で毎日通うとけっこう差が出ますね。
ハウスの最寄りのバス停は92系統の「水道筋３丁目」で、建物からすぐ近く。本数もだいたい1時間に7本以上は走っています。
座れる確率が高いのも、乗り継ぎルートの利点
乗り換える36系統のバスは阪急六甲駅から混むようですが、バス乗り継ぎだとその手前の「六甲口」バス停から一足はやく乗ることになるので、座れる確率が高いそうです。雨の日の朝だと、阪急六甲からはバスに乗れないことすらあるらしいので、これは地味に大きい差です。
ま、若者はできるだけ立って席を譲るべきですけどね笑。
「六甲口」バス停は2つあるので注意
👆これが乗り換えで使う2つのバス停です。どちらも同じ「六甲口」という名前ですが、系統が違うのでバス停間で40mぐらい歩きます。初日は少し戸惑うかもしれないので、写真で覚えておいてください。
帰りは歩いて帰る人も
大学からの帰りは、天気と気分によっては徒歩の人もいますね。帰りは坂を下るのでだいぶ楽なようです。神戸は南北が坂になっているので、「行きはバス、帰りは散歩」という使い分けをしている住人が多いです。
神大生がHQに住む理由
通学のしやすさだけでなく、家賃と生活費の安さも理由としてよく挙がります。家賃は¥39,000〜47,000、共益費が¥14,000（水道光熱費・ネット費込み）。初期費用は5万円のみで、礼金・仲介手数料はかかりません。

We often get asked by people interested in moving in: “How does the commute to Kobe University actually work?” So here’s a summary of the routes.
The Headquarters (HQ) Kobe sits roughly halfway between Kobe University and Sannomiya. From the house it’s easy to get to either campus or out for fun downtown, since we’re close to both train stations (JR Maya or Hankyu Oji Koen) and bus stops — and the Suidosuji shopping street itself is about the most convenient place you could ask for to live. That’s probably why the house is popular with Kobe University folks 😊.

Students recommend route ③
According to the students living here, ③ is the one to take.
If you tap an IC card for the Kobe city bus transfer, the second leg is free — so you get to campus for ¥210. Compared with ¥370 via Hankyu or ¥340 via JR, that adds up quickly when you’re commuting daily.
The nearest bus stop to the house is “Suidosuji 3-chome” on route 92, right around the corner, and buses run at least seven times an hour.
You’re also more likely to get a seat
The connecting route 36 bus tends to fill up once it picks people up at Hankyu Rokko Station. Transferring by bus means you board one stop earlier at “Rokko-guchi,” so your odds of getting a seat are much better. On rainy mornings, they say it can get so packed you can’t board at Hankyu Rokko at all — so this matters more than it sounds.
That said, young folks should stand and offer their seats whenever they can, ha.
Watch out — there are two “Rokko-guchi” stops
👆 These are the two stops used for the transfer. They’re both called “Rokko-guchi,” but since they’re on different routes you’ll walk about 40 meters between them. It’s a little confusing on day one, so keep these photos in mind.
Some people walk home
On the way back from campus, depending on the weather and how they feel, some residents just walk. It’s mostly downhill on the return, so it’s a lot easier going. Kobe slopes from north to south, so plenty of people take the bus there and stroll back.

It isn’t only the commute — the low rent and living costs come up just as often. Rent runs ¥39,000–47,000 with a ¥14,000 common fee that already covers utilities and internet. Moving in costs ¥50,000 total, with no key money and no agency fee.
