寒いですね！みなさま新年いかがお過ごしでしょうか。
ハウスにも若干の正月らしさを加えるため、スーパーで買った簡易な鏡餅セットを飾ってみました（笑）。金粉入りのお酒も一緒に。

実は１月１日でヘッドクォーターズ神戸の運営が切り替わってちょうど１年が経ったことになります。
あっという間ですね。

前オーナーによりゲストハウス半分＋シェアハウス半分のような運営がされていたゲストハウス時代は外国からの宿泊客で賑わったり素敵な感じでしたが、今は長期の住人たちでとても仲良く暮らしています。前オーナーによる運営は2018年末までで、2019年1月からいまのかたちになっています。

近くの神戸大学・大学院の元／現の学生が今は３人（ちょっと前までは４人）も住んでくれてたり、内見に来てくれた方には写真でハウス内の雰囲気を伝えるととても興味をもってくれて住みたいと言ってくれることが増えたり、すこしずつ良い循環がまわるようになってきたかなぁと、オーナーとしては嬉しく思っています。

おかげさまでほぼ満室が続いています。（あとひとり、できれば男性が来てくれるとバランスいいなぁ）引き続き住人募集中です。

ハード面としては以前の状態から部屋を２つ増やしたり、家具家電を増やしたり、屋上を綺麗にしたりなどの整備も多少はしましたが、大事なことは住んでいる住人の良い人間関係や「ここに住んで良かった」と思える環境をつくるソフト面ですね。

今年もまたさらに素敵なハウスにできるよう、イベント的なものを増やすなど内部・外部の交流がより活発になるようなことが出来たらいいなと思っています。

It’s chilly out there! I hope everyone’s having a good start to the new year.
To bring a bit of New Year spirit into the house, I picked up a simple kagami mochi set from the supermarket and set it out (haha). I put a bottle of sake with gold flakes in it next to it too.

Actually, January 1st also marks exactly one year since the management of The Headquarters Kobe changed hands.
Time really flies.

Under the previous owner, the place ran as a mix of guest house and share house, and it had that lively, charming feel with guests visiting from overseas. Now, though, it’s home to a group of long-term residents who all get along really well. The previous owner ran the place until the end of 2018, and the current setup has been in place since January 2019.

We currently have three past and present students from nearby Kobe University and its graduate school living here (we had four until recently), and more and more people who come for a viewing get excited about moving in once they see photos of the house’s atmosphere. It feels like things are gradually building a nice momentum, which makes me happy as the owner.

Thanks to everyone, we’ve stayed nearly full. (We could use one more person, ideally a guy, just to keep the balance nice.) We’re still taking applications from new residents.

On the hardware side, we’ve made a few improvements since before, like adding two more rooms, bringing in more furniture and appliances, and tidying up the rooftop. But what really matters is the software side, building good relationships among residents and an environment where people genuinely feel glad they live here.

This year, I’d love to make the house even better, adding more event-like get-togethers and finding ways to make both internal and external connections more active.
